The Swiss Centre for International Health (SCIH) of Swiss TPH provides policy advice, project design and management in the area of national and global health with the aim to strengthen health systems and improve health service delivery. The Health Systems Support Unit is currently looking for a International Team leader (100%) based in Pristina, Kosovo We offer a long-term assignment in a stimulating work environment in the heart of Pristina with an interdisciplinary team of staff. Your responsibilities include:To assure technical and managerial project planning and implementation.To coordinate project related activities and closely liaise with other multi- and bilateral agencies as well as NGOs.To communicate/liaise with other Swiss TPH projects and other SDC funded projects in the region.To organize expert missions and plan expert inputs.To ascertain financial management and administration, implementation responsibility and responsibility for the achievement of project outcomes.To provide technical expertise in the area of primary health care reform, health service management, family medicine and non-communicable diseases, integrated people centred care, continuous professional development, health education, community participation and health promotion.Regular financial and technical reporting to Swiss TPH, regular consultations with local SDC team.To lead a national project team at the project office in Pristina. You should have the following experiences and skills:Formal qualification ideally in medicine, or health policy, health service management, epidemiology or a health related field (Master degree level). A postgraduate training in public health or an MBA is an asset.Minimum of 8 years working experience in the field of public health and health reform in transition countries, the (Western) Balkans and/or Eastern Europe in at least one of the following fields: health system monitoring and evaluation, health planning and management, community health, primary care.Strong managerial skills, including result-oriented management, strategic planning, human resources and financial management skills; strong experience in steering and mentoring, capacity to anticipate issues and identify forward-looking solutions; strong interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills.Proven leadership experience in leading a team of senior national experts.Ability to communicate with high level policy makers and international partners.Excellent command of English; knowledge of Albanian is an asset. Of note: The project will be awarded based on a competitive process. Final decision making is dependent upon Swiss TPH being awarded the project and SDC agreement of the candidate.
