The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyondinfrastructure with sustainability at its core. We began operations in Beijing in 2016 and have since grown to 111 approved members worldwide. We are capitalized at USD100 billion and AAA-rated by the major international credit rating agencies. Collaborating with partners, AIIB meets clients' needs by unlocking new capital and investing in infrastructure that is green, technology-enabled, and promotes regional connectivity.
The Corporate Strategy Team in SPB is responsible for developing and monitoring the implementation of the Bank's strategic agenda including Corporate Strategy and annual Business Plan. The team coordinates with the relevant working groups and ensure effective linkage between the Corporate Strategy and Business Plan and provides regular updates on progress to the Board and management. In carrying out its role, the team analyses relevant information and data to provide insights (including macroeconomic matters and infrastructure trends, AIIB portfolio and pipeline, etc.), benchmarking and comparative analysis with similar organizations (other MDBs and IFIs), and produce documents to facilitate management discussion and decision.
Responsibilities:
The intern will support a variety of tasks that contributes to the Corporate Strategy Team's work in developing, implementing, and monitoring the Bank's strategic agenda. Key responsibilities will be set dependent on the intern's specific skill set and business needs of the team at the time, but may include:
- Conducting research and analysis relevant to the Bank's strategic agenda such as infrastructure financing demand
- Support preparing documents to inform management discussion and strategic decision-making
- Identify ways to streamlining internal process and operation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the team's work
- Support coordinating with relevant stakeholders across the Bank
Requirements:
- Enrolled in full-time study towards a Master's degree or equivalent from an internationally recognized institution majoring in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Science, International Development or related field
- Ability to think analytically and systematically to structure complex problems in a clear, logical manner
- Adept at working with large datasets and strong attention to detail
- Adaptable, proactive and a strong team player with passion for international development
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in verbal and written English
- Exposure to or experience in consulting, research, or related analytical fields is a plus
