55th Representatives of Internal Audit Services (RIAS) Meeting and the 18th United Nations Representatives of Internal Audit Services (UNRIAS) Meeting

The Internal Audit Office plans to host the 55th RIAS and 18th RIAS, which is an annual gathering served as a platform for chief audit executives and oversight professionals from UN agencies, multilateral banks, and regional bodies to strengthen governance, share best practices, and advance innovation in internal audit across international organizations.

By hosting these meetings, IAO can strengthen its engagement with multilateral institutions and UN agencies, creating opportunities for open communication, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices. Such collaboration will enable AIIB to gain insights into proven methodologies, benchmark its internal audit processes against international standards, and enhance its oversight capabilities to support robust governance and risk management.


Responsibilities:

Support the end-to-end planning and delivery of the event, contributing to coordination, documentation, and stakeholder engagement activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Pre-Event Planning and Preparation:
    Contribute to the development of the overall planning timeline, coordination of preparatory meetings, consolidation of planning documents, and support for initial outreach to participating organizations.
  • Programme and Session Support:
    Assist with preparing agenda materials, briefing notes, and session run-downs.
  • Stakeholder Outreach and Communications:
    Help manage contact lists, coordinate invitations and RSVPs, and draft general communication materials and participant information.
  • Logistics and Operations Coordination:
    Support venue and facilities checks, registration processes, and the preparation of basic health, safety, and emergency information.
  • Digital Workspace Management:
    Maintain and update shared content on platforms such as SharePoint or Teams.
  • General Liaison Support:
    Act as a point of coordination between participants and internal teams on routine inquiries.
  • Post-Event Follow-Up:
    Assist in compiling post-event materials and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's, MBA, or PhD program.
  • Strong interest in international development or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and accessible messaging.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

SPB is hiring a (Senior) Budget Officer who will work closely with other team members in assisting Management to strategically plan and manage AIIB's budgetary resources to support the implementation of AIIB's Corporate Strategy and business priorities.   Responsibilities: - Support the full budget cycle, including annual planning, execution monitoring, adjustments and reallocations, reporting, and control of administrative and capital budgets; support senior management and Board discussions; and partner with Business Units. - Lead or contribute to improvements in strategic resource allocation by developing planning concepts, mechanisms, incentives, and metrics to enhance the Bank's operational efficiency and effectiveness; strengthen existing budgeting frameworks; and support strategic discussions on the Bank's staffing plans, global/local presence, and multiyear budget planning. - Deliver specialized budget tasks or drive topical discussions on the Bank's resource management, such as major expenditure reviews, resourcing models, policy/procedure updates, productivity and benchmarking analysis, and knowledge management and capacity building, including identifying best practices and opportunities for resource optimization from peer analysis or benchmarking. - Drive enhancements in budget controls and management reporting through collaboration on process improvements and system optimization (including SAP SAC, SAP S4HANA, and related platforms across planning, execution, and reporting). - Represent the budget team in corporate projects aimed at advancing cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. - Provide expert advice on budget matters, and respond to ad-hoc requests from stakeholders, including senior management, across the organization.   Requirements: - Master's degree or equivalent in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, business analytics, or related fields from a recognized university. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA) are a plus. - Minimum five years of experience for the Officer role and 10 years for the Senior Officer role, with a proven track record in budgeting, financial and strategic planning, cost and financial accounting, and working with financial systems in international financial institutions / multilateral development banks, private-sector financial services industry, consulting firms serving financial institutions, or a complex multinational company. - Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical tools. - Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis and budget management and their connection to operations, financial results, and business planning. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience preparing materials for senior management and high-level discussions. - Collaborative team player, showing initiative and a mindset for continuous improvement. - Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and build consensus.
