UNICEF HQ Locations are currently undergoing organizational changes; therefore, the exact location of the post has yet to be determined. Selected candidates may be required to commence duties remotely until the location is confirmed. The position is located in the Accountability to Affected Populations Section in EMOPS Geneva, which is one of the three teams along with the Global Cluster Coordination Unit and the Inter-Agency and Humanitarian Partnership Section. The position is expected to spend much of the time within the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Secretariat in support of the inter-agency efforts on AAP and in close coordination with the Inter-Agency Coordinator for Community Engagement and Accountability (hosted by the IFRC).
How can you make a difference?
The Senior Knowledge and Information Management Officer will be providing knowledge and Information management services to support inter-agency coordination of the AAP IASC partners as well as provide ad hoc support to the UN country teams and partners that are participating in the joint IASC AAP country level supported activities (AAP workshops, development of AAP country level Action plans, development and trial of the Results Tracker, as well as response level FeedbacK Mechanisms.
Support the development of joint IASC led interagency efforts on CEA/AAP regarding data collection, analysis, visualization and mapping and other information management tasks to be identified by the IASC AAP partners, as part of the country support on collective AAP IASC tools and related processes.
This includes systematic sharing of key information and documentation with key global level IASC AAP partners and stakeholders engaged in the country level development and use of the IASC AAP tools.
The position's country level focus will provide technical guidance, coaching and capacity building for developing and rolling out the IASC AAP tools and workshops.
