The Civil Peace Service (CPS) offers development workers a meaningful role working with local development agents. The CPS is a personnel programme for peace-building and the prevention of violence in crisis and conflict regions. It sets out to promote a world in which conflicts are settled without violence. Working with church-related and civil-social partner organisations in Uganda, AGIAMONDO aims to make a contribution towards civil conflict management and the sustainable and equitable development of the country through peace-building measures. Ba Futuru ('For the Future') is a dynamic and established NGO based in Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste. For more than 20 years, the organisation has been active in the areas of peace education, child protection, youth work and gender equality. The programmes are in great demand throughout the country - but there is often little room for structured reflection in the busy daily routine. Dili offers a good supply situation, international schools, private clinics and a wide range of leisure activities - from beaches and diving spots to hikes in the countryside. The security situation is good and Dili is considered a family-friendly location. There are regular flight connections to Indonesia, Australia and Singapore. Your tasksYou support the management and the programme teams in collecting and reflecting on learning experiences.You will systematicallyrecord jointly developed findings and feed these back into future planning.You ensure that particularly vulnerable groups are specifically taken into account in project implementation.You take an active role in the programme team in order to strengthen young Timorese employees during the implementation phase.You develop your own peace education ideas - e.g. on dealing with domestic violence or violence in connection with martial arts groups - and incorporate these into the NGO's annual planning.You will be responsible for the proper spending and administration of funds on site in accordance with donor guidelines and AGIAMONDO specifications. It works with lecturers, students and external partners to further develop educational concepts. Your tasksYou will support the Rectorate in further developing the pedagogical skills of the young team of lecturers.You will be actively involved in designing the curriculum in order to establish peace education approaches to reduce violence.You will support the university's outreach programme by running workshops, training courses and seminars.In these events, you will impart knowledge in non-violent communication, non-violent conflict resolution and the development of resilience - in particular to ward off the negative influences of martial arts groups in Timor-Leste.You will plan and implement sustainable measures to anchor peace-promoting content in the university environment.You will be responsible for the proper disbursement and administration of funds on site in accordance with donor guidelines and AGIAMONDO specifications.
