Green Climate Fund GCF is a unique global platform to respond to climate change by investing in low-emission and climate-resilient development. GCF was established by 194 governments to limit or reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in developing countries, and to help vulnerable societies adapt to the unavoidable impacts of climate change. Given the urgency and seriousness of this challenge, GCF is mandated to make an ambitious contribution to the united global response to climate change.

Our application process welcomes individuals of all nationalities, with a special emphasis on encouraging qualified candidates, particularly those from developing nations, to apply. We value diversity in professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds.This program is meticulously crafted for talented and driven individuals proficient in areas pertinent to the operations of the GCF. Interns receive a monthly allowance of USD 1,300, along with free comprehensive global health insurance coverage. Selected candidates have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the work of the Fund, gaining invaluable insights and receiving guidance and training across various professional domains within a vibrant multicultural setting.The GCF internship spans six months initially, with the potential for a six-month extension contingent upon a performance review. All interns are required to work at the GCF headquarters located in Songdo, South Korea. For international hires, roundtrip flights will be provided.To be eligible for an internship, candidates must:Be enrolled in a Master's or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate;Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Fund's work;Possess an excellent command of English.  Selection Process:Timeline: The recruitment for our cohort internship typically commences in December each year, extending through early January of the following year. Our meticulous selection process unfolds from February to May. Newly chosen interns typically embark on their journey in July of the same year, although start dates may vary to accommodate business needs.Steps: The recruitment journey kicks off with a thorough review of CVs, with shortlisted candidates advancing to the next stage. Depending on the role, candidates may undergo either an online video interview, a written assessment, or both.
