Full-time Role Summary The MHPSS Project Manager provides technical leadership, monitors and evaluates the execution of the MHPSS and Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) activities conducted by field-based manager, supervisors and officers. He/she coordinates with sector advisor, other PMs, other stakeholders, and anticipating, planning, and contributing to report and proposal writing for integrated MHPSS and BCC components in the overall Leer programming.Project Overview Medair's goal in Leer County is to reduce morbidity and mortality in vulnerable populations through the provision of emergency health, nutrition and WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) services, and to improve the mental and psychosocial wellbeing of the affected populations. This is a field-based position, and this role will be accommodated within Medair compound in Leer county, with basic living amenities.Responsibilities:Project ManagementManage and lead the Leer MHPSS project to achieve objectives within budget and timelines, ensuring effective monitoring, reporting, and integration of beneficiary participation, while developing strategies for sustainable impacts and responsible exit. Full-time, 12 months.Role SummaryWorking as an important member of a diverse team who are committed to serve the world's most vulnerable with practical and compassionate care, the Finance & Human Resources Manager oversees the financial and HR activities of the Programme. He/she carries out the various accounting functions required to provide accurate and timely information to donors, HQ, field management and field teams on the financial status of the Programme, and oversees recruitment of national and international staff, staff policy development, coordination of training and general staff well-being.Project OverviewMedair implements WASH and Nutrition activities (with Protection & Inclusion dimensions) in the South that is chronically affected by drought, and in the South-East of Madagascar, that is regularly hit by cyclones. Medair also runs projects on Disaster and Risk Reduction and implements Emergency Response Projects in the country in collaboration with the National Disaster Government Management Entity.Workplace & ConditionsAntananarivo, Madagascar. 3 months of probation period.Responsibilities: · Manage the day-to-day accounting functions of the programme, including but not limited ensuring payments are made in a timely fashion; compiling the monthly cash needs forecast; preparing the monthly financial accounts.· Work with Budget holders and HQ staff in the preparation and development of budgets. Monitor project spending on an on-going (monthly) basis, communicating with the relevant project managers and coordinators.· Manage the day-to-day Human Resource functions of the programme, including but not limited to coordinating the recruitment, induction, performance review, disciplinary action following the Medair policy and local labour laws.· Provide line managers with any necessary training, advice, mentoring and coaching on staff wellbeing, performance management, disciplinary action and grievance procedures or any other relevant areas of HR management.· Work with HR to ensure the monthly payroll.
