Duration: 6 months Start Date: asap in January 2025 Location: Zurich area and primarily remote Roots to Rise provides advice, facilitation and training for institutional strengthening and development of non-profit organisations. Roots to Rise is seeking a motivated and versatile intern to assist with two key mandates: Both mandates are related to Swiss umbrella organisations in two quite different thematic fields: education and international cooperation; and a Swiss-wide service for people in need or distress. Thus, this internship is a highly interesting opportunity to work in a small team and see deep into two networks of non-profit organisations active throughout the whole country. Responsibilities/tasks: Communication Supporting the promotion and organisation of events. Creating content for social media and mailings. Drafting and translating content (German/French/English). Updating the website (WordPress). Assisting with internal and external newsletters, social media, annual reports and mailings to members and partners. Event management Managing registrations Organising logistics: transport, accommodation, catering, equipment, interpretation etc. Coordinating with event participants, speakers, volunteers, and partners. Welcoming and supporting participants during the events. Administration Managing and sorting general e-mail communication Managing physical mail-box, sort mail Office telephone service Supporting document management Updating databases Writing reports Other administrative support Your Profile Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in communication, international relations, education sciences, or a similar field. Languages: Mothertongue level of French or German, with strong proficiency in the other language. Good level of English is required. Technical Skills: Comfortable with digital tools and platforms such as WordPress, Canva, Mailchimp, Infomaniak, Zoom, etc. Personal Qualities: Organised, meticulous, and autonomous. Ability to work remotely as part of a team. Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented. Alignment with the values of Roots to Rise.
