To reinforce its Peacebuilding Analysis & Impact (PAI) program, swisspeace is looking for a Program Officer Conflict Sensitivity (80-100%) Starting date: 1 July 2022 (or by agreement) The Peacebuilding Analysis & Impact (PAI) program is the methodology innovation hub of swisspeace. Our mission is to support our partners and clients to improve analysis, management, and learning processes to ultimately increase the effectiveness and positive impact of their work in conflict-affected contexts. We are at the forefront of advancing conflict sensitivity and adaptive management both in research and policy as well as in institutional practice. Specifically, the PAI team aims to reinforce its consulting, training and project activities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Your tasks:Contribute to swisspeace's work in the framework of the Peacebuilding Analysis & Impact program.Advise partner organisations and clients in integrating conflict sensitivity in their practice.Implement peacebuilding activities and projects together with our partners with a particular focus on the MENA region.Implement capacity building measures and coachings (face-to-face and digital) on conflict sensitivity for international organisations, governmental and non-governmental clients and contribute to the development of thematically new training offers. Your profile:Strong interest in peacebuilding and the role of international aid in conflict transformation.3-8 years of work experience in peacebuilding or in supporting the implementation of humanitarian or development projects in contexts of conflict and fragility. Field experience is a strong asset.Affinity for working with universities as partners for projects and joint curricula is an asset.Proven thematic and contextual knowledge of conflict sensitivity and the MENA region.Proven adult education, training, and coaching experience as well as project management skills.Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.Excellent spoken and written English (mother tongue or C2 level). To support the Continuing Education team we are looking for an:  Intern (100%)  Starting date: 1 October 2022 Duration: 7 months (with possibility to extend to 12 months) Gross salary per month: CHF 1,500 (100%) for the first 6 months.
