MSF ou Médecins Sans Frontières est une organisation humanitaire internationale qui apporte une aide médicale d'urgence à des populations confrontées à des crises menaçant leur survie, et ce, depuis bientôt cinquante ans. D'ailleurs Médecins Sans Frontières a reçu le prix Nobel de la Paix en 1999. Zones de conflits armés, épidémies, pandémies, catastrophes naturelles ou accès limité aux soins de santé, voici nos terrains d'intervention. Toutes ces situations nécessitent des ressources médicales et logistiques adaptées dont les autorités sanitaires et les ministères de la Santé ne disposent pas, ou pas en nombre suffisant, c'est pourquoi une assistance médicale internationale est essentielle aux populations.

 

Si vous avez entendu parler des actions humanitaires MSF, c'est parce que MSF prend la parole publiquement pour tenter de faire sortir une crise de l'oubli, alerter l'opinion sur des exactions commises loin des caméras, critiquer les insuffisances du système de l'aide, ou lorsque l'assistance est détournée de son objectif premier pour servir des intérêts politiques. 

 

Réunies autour d'une même charte, les équipes de MSF sont composées de personnel médical, logistique et administratif venant de tous les continents. Its Operational Centre in Geneva (OCG) is responsible for medical assistance programmes in close to 30 countries.This position works in tandem and as a trio with the General Director (GD) and Deputy General Director, External Affairs & Operations (DGDEA).  Together, the GD and two Deputies,  follow a mandate from the MSF Switzerland Board of Directors to deliver the objectives of the OCG Strategic Plan and to ensure that the implementation of key initiatives take into consideration a transversal, cross-departmental approach that fosters organisational learning. MissionThe role of the DGDIA upon delegation of the General Director (GD), includes:Represents MSF and supports networking in Switzerland with other NGOs, public institutional funding, and high-level representation with Swiss donors or authorities with oversight and collaboration of the MSF Representative based in Zurich. Stewards institutional partnerships and relations within MSF movement.  Participates in international platforms and projects within the perimeter of responsibilities and ad hoc as required.Leads on key interdepartmental initiatives: Chairs OCG Projects committee, OCG evaluation Steering Committee and is a member of various OCG intersectional committees and Transformational Initiative Capacity (TIC) projects.Ensures accountability of Strategic Plan: translates the OCG multiyear workplan cycle into annual plans of actions and budgets in collaboration with all departments and approves the General Direction department and headquarters budgets. Reports regularly to the Director General and the Board on progress and achievements.
