Coordinator of the CPS program in Ukraine (m/f/x) In addition to the coordination role, you will also work as an integrated CPS Co-Worker, holding a 50% position in the Development Department of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. As Coordinator, the following responsibilities are envisaged in particular:You design and manage, with a high degree of autonomy, the start-up phase of AGIAMONDO's CPS country programme in Ukraine, in dialogue with the local Church and partner organisations, and in close coordination with AGIAMONDO's head office. You plan new partner collaborations, assess staffing needs, and prepare project applications as well as reporting to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). You are responsible for the annual financial planning of the country programme and oversee the appropriate use of funds. As CPS Co-Worker, your responsibilities include in particular:You support coordination and cooperation at the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) in Lviv between various university institutes, including the Just Peace Center, the Faculties of Journalism and Media and of Law, as well as units working on psychosocial support for veterans and their families and on the rehabilitation of war victims in physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. You contribute to the joint development of a peacebuilding cooperation concept together with the Development Department of UCU and the involved academic units. You build a partner network, plan new cooperations, assess staffing needs, and prepare project applications and reporting to the BMZ. The duty station is not suitable for families accompanied by children. Your profile:You hold a university degree, preferably in a social science or humanities discipline. A qualification in peace and conflict studies is an asset. You have several years of professional experience in development or peace cooperation, preferably within church-based or civil society organisations. Your new role responsible and challengingBuilding on long-standing partnerships within the global Church in Ukraine, AGIAMONDO is developing a new CPS country programme with the aim of specifically strengthening social cohesion in a context shaped by ongoing violence. The programme focuses on the strategic support of church-based and church-affiliated structures as key civil society actors that create spaces for dialogue and encounter, counteract polarisation, and promote constructive societal approaches to dealing with violence. The coordination of the programme plays a central strategic role, as it ensures the thematic orientation of the programme, effective coordination among the involved actors, and the sustainable anchoring of programme activities. An important contribution to social cohesion is also made through cooperation with the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv (UCU), which brings its academic expertise, institutional networks, and societal reach into the CPS programme. As Coordinator, you are largely responsible for the establishment of the new CPS country programme. You work in close coordination with AGIAMONDO's head office in Cologne. Through the Civil Peace Service (CPS), AGIAMONDO collaborates with partner organizations that contribute to positive peace at the local level by strengthening interfaith dialogue, promoting environmental peace, and addressing the legacy of violence.
