In addition to theoretical knowledge, you will also gain practical experience in a dynamic, international environment.  The Strategic Business Modernization Section (SBM) unit ensures that service delivery at the GSSC meets the highest quality standards. The Service Quality Assurance Team (SQA) team plays a key role in testing, monitoring compliance, identifying risks, and providing independent insights on process performance, to meet high quality standards and satisfy customer expectations.  The SQA Intern will support this work by contributing to data-driven analysis, transaction reviews, compliance monitoring, reporting, and awareness initiatives to strengthen quality and consistency across GSSC operations.  How can you make a difference?  Under the overall supervision and guidance of Service Quality Assurance, the intern will take part in QA deep dives, perform data analytics, help with suspicious transactions and to raise awareness of potential risk of fraud, while also helping with the coordination and support functions of the QA team.  This may involve - Support data collection, entry, cleaning and analysis for QA activities, including dashboards and reports.  - Use dashboards and datasets with various complexities to design and run analysis.  - Assist in performing quality reviews to identify errors, gaps, and areas of non-compliance with established policies and procedures. Help analyze root causes of inconsistencies, errors, or irregularities.  - Assist in preparing monthly QA reports by consolidating results, highlighting trends, irregularities and areas for improvement.  - Support QA deep dives on specific service delivery processes to identify root causes and suggest improvements.  - Contribute to risk awareness and compliance initiatives (e.g. fraud prevention awareness, process improvement discussions).  - Document testing methodologies, findings, and lessons learned in clear and concise formats (presentations, briefs, reports).  - Provide general support to the QA team in ongoing projects and ad hoc assignments.  - In addition to daily tasks, the intern will be actively engaged in the following QA initiatives:   QA2.0 Project – Standardizing Quality Assurance  - Support the QA team in streamlining processes by defining roles, standardizing methodologies, and unifying documentation and training.  - Help design unified Power BI dashboards and reporting templates for QA activities.  - Assist in building a structured QA task management system and identifying new areas for QA coverage.  - Participate in data-driven investigations into specific service delivery processes.   QA Advocacy Project  - Help the QA team "spread the word" across GSSC and UNICEF about what QA is and why it matters.  - Support awareness activities such as creating engaging presentations, videos, games, events, or internal campaigns.  - Contribute to building a culture of quality and continuous improvement.  To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have... Minimum requirements: The incumbent should:  - Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within two years) from a university degree program in Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Science, Data/Computer Science, Statistics, or another related field. - Fluency in English required. Knowledge of one other UN working language is an advantage  - Eligible applicants must be nationals of EU countries or hold a valid work permit for Hungary. Comfortable preparing reports, presentations, or creative materials (videos, infographics, campaigns) to raise awareness.  - Organization: Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and document findings in a clear and structured way.  - Collaboration: Works effectively in a multicultural team environment and builds positive relationships with colleagues.  - Independence & initiative: Proactive, eager to learn, and able to take responsibility for assigned tasks with minimal supervision.  Contract duration and terms - This contract is for a 3-month duration, a minimum of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote per week - The intern is expected to be in the office when needed for specific activities - The anticipated start date of this internship is October 2025. - This internship is paid with a stipend of net HUF 2360 / hour capped at net HUF 405,941 per month. - Individuals must fund their travel and living expenses - Individuals must have proof of medical insurance covering their time at the duty station - Individuals are personally responsible for obtaining any required visa or residence permit, covering the entire period of their internship - Interns may take up to 2.5 days per month off work for any reason, including for medical reasons. Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship The position of Senior Private Sector Development Unit (CWPS) within the Central and West Asia Department (CWRD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines and may be assigned in one of our Resident Missions in the Central and West Asia Region and relocation is required. All reasonable relocation expenses will be covered. You will report to the Regional Head, CWPS and will oversee Junior team members. Your Role As a Senior Private Sector Development Specialist, you will lead ADB's work in the Central and West Asia Region to support ADB's private capital mobilization goals. This includes identifying, developing, implementing, and managing private sector projects across upstream, midstream and downstream development, in close collaboration with governments, development partners, and the private sector. You must have extensive expertise in private sector advisories and investments, demonstrate broad experience, and work independently across varied assignments, while closely collaborating with the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD) and the Office of Market Development and Public Private Partnerships (OMDP). You will: - Lead early-stage advisory engagements with public and private clients as well as investment-like engagements where ADB contributes time and funds to develop projects for future investments. - Lead or contribute in the development of private sector nonsovereign and transaction advisory portfolio by identifying investment and advisory opportunities, contributing to internal approval processes and other related activities in collaboration with ADB solutions, PSOD and OMDP in particular, with whom CWPS collaborate closely. - Develop, prepare, and manage technical assistance, including participation in regional initiatives, supporting private sector development. - Identify, design, process, implement, and evaluate projects, and other interventions to promote innovative and structured financing solutions using new approaches and modalities in ADB's developing member countries in the CWRD region. - Contribute to the development of ADB's strategies and policies to support private sector development in collaboration with other departments. - Lead the selection and management of individual consultants and consulting firms, including designing the terms of reference for specialized consulting services. - Provide leadership and support to reporting staff - where applicable, supervise their performance, provide clear direction and regular monitoring and feedback on performance and ensure their on-going learning and development. - Organize, participate in, and contribute to relevant knowledge-sharing events. - Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, clients, and government officials. - Perform other tasks as assigned and reflected in your workplan.   Qualifications You will need - Master's degree or equivalent, in business or finance related field; or University degree in finance, business and/or related fields combined with at least 5 years specialized experience relevant to the position can be considered. - At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in commercial finance, investment banking, or transaction advisory working with private sector investors, banks, governments and/or international organizations. - Experience developing innovative financing structures, particularly in transition economies. - Familiarity with ADB's processes, financing products and modalities would be an advantage. - International experience working in Türkiye, Central and West Asia would be an advantage. - Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. - Knowledge of the Russian language would be an advantage. - Willingness to travel and work in security challenging countries. - Please refer to the link for ADB Competency Framework for TI2.   Benefits ADB offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
