The UNDP Regional Bureau for Africa (RBA) Management Support Team (MST) provides strategic and operational support to RBA senior management and regional operations. MST leads on financial stewardship, performance monitoring, workflow coordination, and operational analytics to support strategic decision-making and ensure timely, accountable, and efficient delivery across RBA. MST seeks an intern with a strong business/finance academic background, complemented by data analysis skills, to support financial reviews, operational analytics, performance dashboards, and internal management processes. This internship offers hands-on exposure to financial and operational functions within a global development organization. The intern will report to the Operations Advisor and will work closely with the operations team, regional advisors, and other stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making processes. The internship is for a maximum of 6 months. The internship is not paid (however a stipend is provided) and is full-time. Pour notre bureau à Genève, nous recherchons un·e stagiaire (6 mois, 1'575 CHF/m brut 80%) qui travaillera au sein de l'équipe innovation/projet du foraus. Il·elle sera chargé·e de soutenir nos [projets](https://www.foraus.ch/en/projekte/), en français et en anglais et travaillera également avec la responsable de la communication afin de renforcer la communication du foraus en Suisse romande.

 

Le think tank foraus publie des recommandations scientifiquement fondées – sous forme de documents de réflexion, de brèves analyses et de billets de blog – et organise des débats de haut niveau afin d'aboutir à des solutions innovantes en matière de politique étrangère. Le foraus a été fondé en 2009 et, en tant qu'organisation grassroots à but non lucratif, dispose d'un vaste réseau de bénévoles dans toute la Suisse et à l'étranger.

 

Depuis 2018, le foraus propose des solutions innovantes pour la politique basées sur diverses méthodologies de prospective (par exemple avec notre projet d'innovation [Politique en scène](https://www.foraus.ch/fr/projects/politique-en-scene/)) développant ainsi des idées de solutions constructives aux défis sociétaux actuels en se basant sur l'intelligence collective. Ces cinq dernières années, le foraus a mobilisé plus de 3'500 personnes ayant créé plus de 700 idées dans des domaines aussi divers que la conservation de la biodiviersité, l'inclusivité dans l'intelligence artificielle ou encore l'élaboration d'une politique étrangère féministe.

 

Tes missions :

- Gestion autonome de la série événementielle Think & Drink sur des thématiques liées à l'actualité de la Genève internationale et à la politique étrangère ; 
- Soutien aux projets utilisant des méthodologies de prospective pour diverses tâches : 
- La coordination et implémentation de nos projets Politique en scène et Global Labs (préparations de contenus, planification et organisation d'événements) ; 
- Le soutien à l'organisation d'ateliers et de séances de formation ; 
- Le soutien au développement de nouveaux projets ; 
- Le soutien à la gestion des réseaux sociaux de l'équipe innovation/projet, création de supports graphiques de communication.

Ton profil:

 

Nous cherchons une personne ayant un intérêt prononcé pour les relations internationales, une formation universitaire (Bachelor ou Master) dans un domaine lié, un talent d'organisation, d'excellentes compétences rédactionnelles et un sens aigu de la communication. Tu as de bonnes prédispositions pour ce stage si l'écriture créative est ton point fort, si tu as déjà eu une première expérience dans le domaine des médias sociaux et si tu as des affinités avec le design graphique. Une excellente maîtrise du français (langue maternelle ou jugé équivalent) et de l'anglais est nécessaire. De bonnes connaissances en allemand et une première expérience de travail dans la gestion de projets et/ou dans l'événementiel sont un atout.

2026 Internship Program – Session 1
THE BANK:

Established in 1964, the African Development Bank is the premier pan-African development institution, promoting economic growth and social progress across the continent. There are 81 member states, including 54 in Africa (Regional Member Countries). The Bank's development agenda is delivering the financial and technical support for transformative projects that will significantly reduce poverty through inclusive and sustainable economic growth. In order to sharply focus the objectives of the Ten-Year Strategy (2023 – 2032) and ensure greater developmental impact, four Cardinal Points, all of which will accelerate our delivery for Africa, have been identified for scaling up, namely (i) Unlocking capital at scale, (ii) Reforming Africa's financial architecture, (iii) Harnessing Demographic Transformation, (iv) Building climate-resilient infrastructure and value addition. The Internship program is part of a wider Talent Management Framework which facilitates the Bank to deliver on the Ten-Year Strategy. 

Participants in the Program are selected on a competitive basis, based on business needs of the Bank.

 

Objectives:

The broad objectives of the program are to:

- Provide students with an opportunity to acquire professional and practical experience at the African Development Bank.
- Provide the Bank with a pool of potential candidates for future recruitment purposes.
However, applicants should not expect the internship to lead to immediate employment with the Bank.

Terms and Conditions:

- Internships shall be granted to each candidate for a period not less than three (3) months and not more than six (6) months. The internship is authorized only once for any candidate.
- Selected interns will perform their internship either remotely or on-site depending on the needs of their respective hiring units. Remote interns are expected to have access to a personal computer, reliable internet connection and a conducive living environment that facilitates smooth and uninterrupted remote working.
- On-site interns shall be responsible for their air travel (in case of) to and from the Bank's location as well as their upkeep.
- The Bank will use reasonable efforts to assist the concerned interns in obtaining their entry and residence visas.
- Eligible Interns will benefit from a medical insurance coverage paid by the Bank during the period of their internship. 
- Eligible interns will be provided with a monthly stipend.
 

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Must have attained the age of majority in their country of nationality or origin and be not more than Thirty (30) years old at the time of commencement of the internship program.
- Be currently enrolled in a master's level degree program in a recognized public or private educational institution of higher learning.
- The candidate can apply for an internship within one (1) year of having obtained such a degree.
- Be nationals of the member Countries of the African Development Bank.
- Provide a letter from their school confirming their enrollment or a copy of the above-mentioned Degree. Applicants must be fluent in at least one of the Banks's two working languages (English or French).
- Be able to use the Bank's standard software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); knowledge of SAP is desirable.

swisspeace is a practice and research institute dedicated to advancing effective peacebuilding. Partnerships with local and international actors are at the core of our work. The swisspeace Dealing with the Past (DwP) Program supports governmental and non-governmental actors in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of DwP activities. Main responsibilities include:

After a comprehensive onboarding, candidates will be expected to perform support functions across the following thematic areas:

- Research and analysis: including desktop research around education technology frameworks, deep-diving in agreed areas of work around edtech for good, digital learning, edtech acceleration and implementation models; as well as dedicated support in research coordination and implementation in countries where EdTech for Good is active.

INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS

Background

 The Investigations Section of the Office of Audit and Investigations (OAI) is seeking to recruit five (5) interns for a period of six months, beginning on 1 February 2026. The Investigations Section of OAI is responsible for conducting investigations into allegations of misconduct, such as fraud, corruption, retaliation on whistleblowers, workplace harassment, including sexual harassment, abuse of authority, violation or willful disregard of UNDP regulations, rules, and administrative instructions, which involve UNDP staff and other personnel. Duties and Responsibilities

The interns provide support to the Investigations Section in the conduct of investigations into allegations of various types of wrongdoing. In carrying out this overall function, the interns may be requested to:
• Assist in reviewing cases reported to OAI to determine appropriate referrals;
• Assist in drafting documents and communications with respect to cases under investigation, including investigation plans, witness statements, investigation reports, closure reports and other documents;

• Assist in conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses and subjects;
• Assist in identifying, collating and analyzing potential evidence, including carrying out open-source

• Assist with editing investigation reports and other documents for quality assurance purposes;

Education:

It is important that the candidates applying satisfy the criteria below in order to be eligible for the internship, namely: at the

internship (e.g. must have graduated no earlier than 1 February 2025;

Experience:

Working Languages:

Work arrangements:

• Internships are located at UNDP Headquarters in New York or can be home based;

Contract Duration and Terms

How can you make a difference?

To increase visibility and drive adoption of Child-Lens Investing, the Innovative Finance Hub is recruiting a Communications Intern. The intern will support the Hub's communications and visibility efforts through a learning-by-doing model, working closely with the wider Hub team and reporting to the Communications Specialist.

 

Main responsibilities include:

- Producing timely and effective communication assets, including web articles, human interest stories, newsletters, thought pieces, multimedia content (videos, photos), press releases, and other advocacy materials, in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Developing clear and impactful social media content.
- Supporting the coordination and organization of events and conferences.
- Copyediting of relevant documents including communication materials, reports and briefing notes, when required. 
- Developing and maintaining a communication asset database (Human interest stories, videos, social media assets, publications referencing Child-Lens Investing, press releases and clippings, photographs, audio-visual materials, web resources, etc.) 
- Monitoring and analyzing communication activities, assessing their effectiveness, and making recommendations for improvements, including the mapping of relevant media.
- Coordinating with key stakeholders such as UNICEF National Committees and CLI stakeholders on communications activities.
- Providing general support to the IF Hub team, including assistance with tasks related to innovative finance, as needed.
 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have...

- Enrolled in a master's degree program at a recognized university, undergraduate level or a recent graduate (within two years from date of graduation) in Communications, Media, International Development, Finance or a related field.
- Previous experience in communications, including internships. Experience in the sustainable finance sector and familiarity with the Finnish ecosystem would be considered an asset.
- Strong capacity to work effectively in inter-divisional teams.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to conceptualize, plan and execute ideas.
- Fluency in English is required.
 

Conditions:

- Age: Interns must be at least 18 years 
- Have good academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
- Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office.
- Have no other relatives in the line of authority which the intern will report to.
- Individuals must have proof of medical insurance covering the time and location of their internship.
- This internship will be delivered on a full-time commitment.
- Individuals are expected to provide their own laptop.

The Regional Bureau for Africa (RBA) leads the work of the United Nations Development Programme in the Sub-Saharan African region to implement the organization's Strategic Plan, driven by the vision to eliminate poverty and significantly reduce inequalities and exclusion.  The Strategy, Analysis and Research Team (SART) provides strategic analysis and upstream policy advice to RBA management and country offices in sub-Saharan Africa through intellectual leadership on key development issues in the region. We are seeking a highly qualified intern to join our team for a period of 6 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for compiling and analyzing data from various sources, collating information from various sources, supporting the preparation of briefing notes and talking points, and helping in organizing events. 

The intern will be supervised and report to the Chief, SART. The internship is for 6 months. The internship is a full-time internship and is not paid (however, a stipend is provided).

- Support the writing of reports, policy brief, briefing notes and talking points
