SwissCore in Brussels acts as a bridge between the Swiss and European knowledge landscapes and supports the Swiss participation in the research, innovation, and education programmes of the European Union. We are the liaison office for Swiss and European stakeholders in the mentioned fields. SwissCore informally represent the Swiss knowledge community towards European institutions and Brussels-based interest groups. The office is co-funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency.

Your Responsibilities
You will immerse yourself in European innovation policies and programmes and collaborate closely with innovation institutions and communities. Your work may also include research and innovation topics. As a junior member of our team, you will contribute fully to day-to-day operations. Your tasks include collecting and analysing intelligence, organising and participating in events, organising visits and receiving delegations as well as writing articles and reports. In addition to practical on-the-job work experience (50%), you will have the opportunity to focus on a dedicated project in the innovation domain (50%), with a possibility to combine it with your thesis.

Your Profile
We are looking for a motivated and eager student enrolled in or having completed a Bachelor or a Master programme in any discipline, interested in European integration and cooperation. Candidates have to be enrolled in or graduated from a Swiss higher education institution. If you are not currently enrolled, the graduation date cannot be before February 2026.
You should have affinity with research, innovation, and education. In particular, you should be interested in Swiss and European innovation policies and programmes. Since writing makes for a large part of your work, you should be fluent in English (at least C1) as well as in French and/or German, both in writing and speaking (at least B2). Familiarity with MS Office and ICT tools in general is necessary. We are particularly looking for an investigative mind and a dedicated worker who enjoys flexible teamwork.

You will receive a monthly remuneration and benefit from support with your relocation to Brussels. In addition, you will be provided with either a Brussels public transport card or bicycle hire.
