WHO began when our Constitution came into force on 7 April 1948 – a date we now celebrate every year as World Health Day. We are now more than 7000 people from more than 150 countries working in 150 country offices, in 6 regional offices and at our headquarters in Geneva.

[The World Food Programme (WFP)](https://www.cinfo.ch/en/world-food-programme) is the leading humanitarian organisation that saves lives and changes lives, delivers food assistance in emergencies and works with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.
Jordan faces a plethora of challenges in water availability, land productivity, and climate variability, as well as in systematically anticipating and reducing the impact of crisis. Agriculture plays a significant role in Jordan's national economy and is critical in ensuring food security as well as generating employment. Under its Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) activities, WFP Jordan works with the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), UNDP, and national institutions to advance a Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MHEWS) in line with the UN's Early Warnings for All Initiative.
As DRR Programme Associate you support WFP as follows:
- Assist with implementation of the DRR workplan, including forecasting, PRISM upgrades, MOUs, and early warning activities.
- Contribute to analysing climate and hazard data for drought monitoring and risk visualization.
- Help coordinate with government counterparts and map roles, gaps, and procedures for anticipatory drought action.
- Provide inputs for reports, donor updates, briefs, research, and monitoring activities.
- Contribute to technical workshops and linkages with shock-responsive social protection.;
