Zones de conflits armés, épidémies, pandémies, catastrophes naturelles ou accès limité aux soins de santé, voici nos terrains d'intervention. Toutes ces situations nécessitent des ressources médicales et logistiques adaptées dont les autorités sanitaires et les ministères de la Santé ne disposent pas, ou pas en nombre suffisant, c'est pourquoi une assistance médicale internationale est essentielle aux populations.

 

Si vous avez entendu parler des actions humanitaires MSF, c'est parce que MSF prend la parole publiquement pour tenter de faire sortir une crise de l'oubli, alerter l'opinion sur des exactions commises loin des caméras, critiquer les insuffisances du système de l'aide, ou lorsque l'assistance est détournée de son objectif premier pour servir des intérêts politiques.

Context & Mission

The Legacies team is attached to the General Public Fundraising Unit, one of the four units of the Fundraising Division within the Communication and Fundraising Department of MSF Switzerland. The fundraising area is responsible to ensure the financial resources to support MSF operations by developing and effectively implementing the MSF fundraising strategy to attract and engage donors and supporters to MSF's cause.

Reporting to the Legacies Coordinator, you contribute to the optimisation of the management of legacy and inheritance donations for Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland. You are responsible for the legal and administrative management of legacy and inheritance cases. You collaborate with and provide legal advice to the Legacies Coordinator and the Legacies Officer.

You ensure rigorous administrative and legal management of legacy files. You assist the Legacies Coordinator in some of his/her tasks and collaborate with various partners such as notaries, lawyers, executors, administrations, and may also interact with potential testators during initial contact or relationship cultivation at visits, by phone, or during our events.

You collaborate with the Legacies Coordinator to administer legacy and inheritance files in German, French, and Italian and participate in cultivating relationships with testators in all regions of Switzerland. You are also responsible for updating the records of all your new succession cases as well as all individuals interested in successions, and for ensuring the accuracy of your files. You ensure that all legacies and inheritances made to MSF are received and optimised securely through your expertise and experience in the field of legacies and inheritances. You are the reference for complex cases due to your legal expertise, providing advice to the team and holding yourself accountable for any contingencies.

You are committed to cultivating relationships with testators, retaining them, and ensuring follow-up with this target audience. Within your scope, you apply processes and procedures related to inheritances (acceptance, judicial decisions, etc.) and always ensure the protection of MSF Switzerland's interests and reputation. You are also responsible for financial follow-up with the Legacies Coordinator. You work in tandem with the Legacies Officer in monitoring and managing files. You are also required to collaborate with MSF Switzerland's finance department for the management of legacy and inheritance files, as well as during the annual provision phase for the files under your responsibility.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Participates in the development and implementation of the legacy fundraising. Contributes to implementing the action plan aimed at growing and consolidating legacies and inheritances as a source of private funding for MSF Switzerland.
  • Actively contributes to monitoring revenue targets from legacies and the annual action plan with the Legacies Coordinator and the Head of the General Public Fundraising Unit.

Stakeholder Relations and Representation

  • Upon prior agreement with the Legacies Coordinator, represents MSF in will resolution processes during conflicts, including legal or administrative proceedings, mediations, or arbitrations.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with a portfolio of identified contacts (potential legators and legal professionals).
  • Establishes and maintains first-rate relationships with professional audiences in the field of successions, including executors and other third-party intermediaries.
  • Promotes the development of partnerships with key stakeholders (notaries, lawyers, wealth managers, etc.).

Donor Relations

  • Cultivates relationships with testators and handraisers, ensuring their engagement by maintaining ongoing relationships with this audience through established touchpoints, events, and other engagement avenues.
  • Visits handraisers or confirmed bequestors to nurture relationships and provide legal responses to their needs.
  • Cultivates relationships during legacy and inheritance donor events.

Administration & Support

  • Acts as the expert reference point for the Legacies team for all legal questions related to successions.
  • Ensures close collaboration with our external legal advisors for litigious or complex cases.
  • Manages the administrative follow-up of legacies after the death of testators, respecting the legal framework and ensuring compliance with deadlines prescribed by law.
  • By delegation and/or under the supervision of the Head of the General Public Fundraising Unit, takes charge of specific cases.

Your Profile

Education

  • University degree or equivalent qualification in law or a strong understanding of inheritance law.

Experience

  • Previous experience in similar roles.
  • Previous experience with MSF or other NGO/International Organisations is an advantage.

Skills/ Technical competencies

  • Strong knowledge of the Swiss legal and political system, particularly in the field of inheritance law.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication and argumentation.
  • Analytical skills and comfort with numbers.
  • Excellent computer literacy, internet navigation, and proficiency with office software.

Languages

  • Bilingual or highly fluent in German and French.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Terms of Employment

  • Gross annual salary (for 80%): from CHF 74803,20 to 85'824.- (salary commensurate with equivalent experience and internal salary grid)
  • Paid vacation: 25 days per year, prorate temporis, plus any Swiss public holidays falling within the contract period.
  • Pension plan: pension contribution covered 3/4 by MSF, 1/4 by staff member
  • Relocation package if moving from a different country to Switzerland.

The role will work collaboratively with stakeholders to strategize, conceptualize, plan, produce and coordinate all production aspects of the Virtual Experiences to ensure smooth and efficient running of the events, maximum impact of the events for the audiences as well as postproduction follow up and monitoring and evaluation of impact. The role, under the supervision of the Communications Specialist (Producer - Virtual Experiences) will play a role in planning and communicating with, and advising senior colleagues, UNICEF leadership and high value partners who are participating in the Virtual Experiences.   How can you make a difference? 1. Planning and coordination for the Supporter Content Team - Drive and facilitate coordination between the Supporter Content Team, PFP stakeholders, such as the Virtual Experiences Task Force, the Communications 4 Partnerships (C4P) team, as well as key partners. - Develop an annual project plan and adjust depending on changing world events, trends, and strategy. - Coordinate key dates and information to ensure efficient delivery of the events and experiences, including booking speakers, crossing, rehearsals, and the event dates. 2. Narrative content design and production of Virtual Experiences (VEs) - Facilitate and support the strategic process of the narrative design and production of each VE (between half an hour to one hour live online zoom event) in close collaboration with the producer and fundraising channel leads and other stakeholders. - Ensure the concept and key messages are realized (emergencies and non-emergency related). 3. This includes seamlessly running the multimedia material when needed during the live events, supporting the technical aspects of the live crossing (usually done on mobile phones) to the field locations, as well as basic editing such as broll/cutaways, photo loops, topping and tailing and uploads to YouTube and WeShare (UNICEF's digital asset management platform). VEs are an essential part of stewarding UNICEF's high-value private sector donors, and high-quality technical support is important to ensuring a quality and compelling experience is delivered.   How can you make a difference? Reporting to the Virtual Experiences Communication Specialist (Producer) in the Supporter Content team, and working closely with the VE production team and other stakeholders, the selected candidate will be required to undertake the following areas of work: 1. Vision mixing for Virtual Experiences (VEs): VE's are live, interactive, and compelling virtual events (usually lasting 30min-1hour) where we use digital technologies to bring to life the work UNICEF is doing in emergency and non-emergency contexts. They allow supporters to connect directly with experts and UNICEF staff in the field. The role will support the running of the experiences usually on Zoom / Teams by seamlessly playing the multimedia material at appropriate times during live experiences and changing streams between various live feeds. 2. Technical support for VE live crossings: During a VE, live video crossings are conducted to staff / partners in field locations often via a mobile phone. The role will support with technical aspects for these live crossings including rehearsals and recording and packaging a back-up video in case the live link up goes down during the event.  3. Video editing for VEs: A range of multimedia material is used during a VE to add interesting visual imagery to the experience. This includes humani interest stories (as needed) video broll, animations, prerecorded soundbites etc. The role will be required to edit of some of this material including rolling photoloops, broll/ cutaways (30-40secs), topping and tailing of soundbites and interviews as well as packaging the final products (top and tail) for uploading to YouTube, linked in, and packaging on UNICEF's digital asset management platform, WeShare. 4. Supporting the VE Production team with other technical aspects needed during the preparation, production, and post-production of the VEs.   DELIVERABLES: Under the direct guidance of the communication specialist (Producer) and working closely with the production manager and other stakeholders the role will complete the following deliverables: 1. Vision mixing for Virtual Experiences (VEs): - Prepare and run rehearsals for the VEs (est 7-10 per month). - Prepare all video/multimedia material to be run seamlessly during the event. - Seamlessly run the multimedia material (using professional vision mixing technology), and manage the live crossings to field locations during the live Ves. 2. Technical support for VE live crossings: - Manage the technical aspects of rehearsal and live crossings to field locations of staff /partners. - Record, cut and prepare a back up package of the rehearsals for the live event. - During the live event, the role will manage the live crossings (working closely with the Producer) to ensure the crossing is technically running smoothly. 3. Video editing for VEs: - Occasionally edit human interest stories (2-3 min each). - Cut broll/cutaways for VEs --  est 3-4 30sec Brolls per VE ( est 5 per VE) drawing appropriate footage from UNICEF's Archive, WeShare. - Record and package back up interviews/ crossings from the field. - Source and prepare start and ending photo loops for the Ves. - Packaging the final VE and upload to YouTube, linked in, etc (topping and tailing, any basic editing needed). - Other basic editing needs as indicated by the Producer. 4. Supporting the VE Production team with other technical aspects needed during the preparation, production, and post-production of the VEs including: - Uploading of material to YouTube, linked in after each VE. - Uploading and inputting metadata of VDE and individual packages into WeShare. - Sharing links to stakeholders. - Advising the team on technical developments. - Supporting with any other related tasks.  Estimated Duration of the contract - 364 days Reporting To: - Communication Specialist, Supporter Content Team. Identifying, coordinating, and supervising consultants to deliver components of the landscapes, including development of terms of reference and oversight of selection processes; C. Engaging experts and stakeholders to peer-review and vet landscape analyses; and D. Providing crucial contribution to articles, reports, and other resources related to Unitaid's core work. - Identify potential areas for intervention where Unitaid could enable the global community to achieve higher impact of investments in global health, by accelerating introduction of new health products and approaches; creating systemic conditions for sustainable, equitable access; and fostering inclusive and demand-driven partnerships for innovation. - Provide technical guidance and content leadership for Unitaid's calls for proposals, including A. Designing calls for proposals; B. Assessing proposals for technical merit and strategic fit with Unitaid's strategy and business model; C. Providing strategic guidance and technical expertise as part of the project team during grant development; D. Reviewing and revising proposal tools as needed for effectiveness, efficiency, and strategic alignment. - Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise as part of the cross-functional project team during grant implementation. - Draft and deliver reports, presentations, briefing notes, and other materials for Unitaid's Executive Board, Policy and Strategy Committee, and Joint Review Committee. - Disseminate reports, lessons learned, and new analytic methods via satellites/symposia at International Conferences, reports and web-based materials (in collaboration with Unitaid's Communications Team), and peer-reviewed publications. Support broader organizational communications and resource mobilization efforts in relevant content areas. - Leverage strong, established networks of experts and other global health stakeholders working in health product access in TB, medicines development, and children's health, and related areas. - Support Strategy team integration and key deliverables, such as investment planning; perform any other activities required by Unitaid Senior Management.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education Essential: - Advanced level university degree in business/management, economics, or public health. The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 92,731 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 6553 per month for the duty station indicated above.
