UNDP helps countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and to build resilience in order to sustain development results.   Over the past decade, Venezuela has faced a severe political, economic, and social crisis, with a 75% drop in GDP, around 8 million people migrating abroad, and 7.5 million still in need of humanitarian aid. To address this complex situation, UNDP is using a portfolio-based approach focused on systems transformation. It is currently implementing three interconnected portfolios: community resilience (with FAO and UNHCR), gender equality (with UN Women), and trust-building (with the UN Secretariat). These portfolios target the same regions and reinforce each other to promote human security through a humanitarian-development-peace nexus. Analyst, Payment Oversight and Execution

Purpose of Job The Analyst is responsible for completing a variety of operational tasks across equivalent middle and back office functions that directly interface with Banking Origination, Portfolio Management, Procurement, and Treasury teams.  Day-to-day, the team's core responsibilities include the management of payee onboarding journey, as well as ensuring the timely funding and execution of the Bank's payments in global markets. This involves managing a diverse range of products and ensuring the proper settlement of EBRD's transactions.   Background The function is responsible for the accurate acquisition, verification and maintenance of Payee's data in the Bank's systems as well as ensuring appropriate funding and settlement of the Bank's transactions. Responsible for the overall governance and oversight of Payment processes across the Bank the function facilitates measurement of key risks and the application of limits and control of parties throughout their payment lifecycle. The role interacts with a wide cross section of both internal departments and external parties to ensure the Bank's transactions are settled in an accurate and timely manner ensuring risks are identified and mitigated through the product lifecycle as per the Bank's risk appetite. The Bank is undertaking various improvement initiatives and seeking to automate (where possible) various processes. The Lab aims to strengthen the UNDP's internal and its partners' capacities for the increasing demand for digital transformation.   Duties and Responsibilities The intern will be responsible for the following duties: - Conduct research on the application of Generative AI, including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs), to tackle global development challenges such as poverty, inequality, and digital inclusion. - Draft analytical briefs that communicate project findings, use cases, and methodologies related to Generative AI in a format accessible to the public and development stakeholders. - Support the development and implementation of Generative AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) solutions to tackle issues in the field of economic and international development. - Assist Power Automate implementation to connect the prompt workflow with Microsoft tools like Outlook, SharePoint, or Teams. - Provide as needed support to the Technical Specialist as required for, amongst others, participating in meetings, conferences, providing administrative support, drafting meeting minutes and performing other functions and duties. - Other relevant tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor. The Internal Audit Service (IAS) of the Independent Evaluation, Audit, and Investigations Services (IEAIS) is responsible for the internal audit function to UN Women. IAS provides independent, objective assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of governance arrangements, risk management and controls. It manages the internal audit function for UN Women covering its Headquarters and offices away from headquarters. Under the supervision of the Chief, Internal Audit Service (IAS), the Audit Specialist is responsible for performing risk-based audits of business processes at UN Women Headquarters and Offices away from headquarters, of programmes and projects, corporate functions, systems and internal controls, and implementation of policies and procedures.   Key Functions and Accountabilities: 1. Provide timely substantive support and advice on operational and programme matters as requested: - Collaborate with  Chief, IAS and Director, IEAIS in requests for advice, investigation support, updates of the audit programme and methodology tools, contributions to divisional reports, preparation of training activities, participation in working groups or committees, review of corporate policies and procedures and other tasks. - Perform quality assurance reviews (peer reviews) of other auditors' work as required. - Participate at the IAS Quality Assurance and Improvement Plan (QAIP) based on the specific tasks assigned. 3. Strengthen the Internal Audit capacity development in UN Women: - Provide direction and guidance to, and coaches team members ensuring effective team functioning. - Assess the team members' performance in a participatory manner and documents lessons learned. - Act as OIC for the Internal Audit Service (IAS) when necessary. 4.
